MUMs Group - Amberley

MUMS UNDERSTANDING MUMS

We started this group to support local parents by creating a safe space for shared learning, support and connection.

The group is an opportunity for local mums to connect and support one another. These weekly sessions are largely informal with a parenting relevant topic for learning and discussion.

Sessions will be facilitated by Emma Powell our HIP (Health Improvement Practitioner) and Sarah Egden, Practice Nurse.

There is no cost to attend. Tea, coffee and light refreshments are included.

Please come along and join us. Children are welcome.

Emma Powell

HIP - Health Improvement Practitioner)

Emma Powell, is a mum of nine and our resident HIP (Health Improvement Practitioner).

She is passionate about ako - share learning, shared stories and creating support through connection. She believes that peer support from more experienced mums to new mums is one of the keys to building resilient parenting and overall wellbeing.

MUMs was created because Emma wanted to create a safe space with a welcome atmosphere for mothers (from pregnancy onward) can attend and interact as they feel comfortable.

We will have a weekly parenting topic. A nurse or specialist will lead the conversation and open to the group for open discussion.
