Intrepid Journeys

Travellers of all ages like to visit remote locations, exploring and engaging in physical and risky ‘extreme activities’ - such as mountain climbing, bungee jumping, rafting, zip lining, caving, mountain biking, paragliding and rock climbing.

This fast growing travel trend is a popular way to see new places and test physical abilities. However, these activities also present with their own risks to ones health and safety.

Learning about these risks and preparing for your trip will make your holiday a fun and safe adventure.

What to bring to your appointment

Please bring the following with you:

  • A copy of your itinerary, or a list of countries you’d like to travel to.
  • A list of activities you plan to do particularly those of high risk ie. 4WDing, motorcycling + water sports.
  • A list of medicines (incl. natural remedies) you’ll be taking.
  • A list of Vaccinations you’ve had (ie. work / childhood immunisations).

Before travelling, childhood immunisation should be up to date and, depending on where you are travelling to, you may also need additional boosters and other travel specific immunisations.

A travel appointment takes just
40 minutes  and will give you and your family invaluable advice for planning your trip, and staying safe while away. We have a wide range of immunisation in stock and can start the process immediately.

Insurance, travel vaccination and medicine are an important part of any journey and require planning.
