Travel is exciting...
the chance to experience new cultures, countries, exciting food and doing things you’ve always dreamed of.
Even if you’re returning to your country of birth, you need to be correctly protected - especially if you’re travelling to Africa, Asia, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, Oceania or South America.
How we can help you
We belong to the Worldwise Travelers Health and Vaccination Centre. This means we get regular up to date Travel alerts, warnings, health precautions and safety alerts to keep us aware of what’s happening in the world.
We can give you advice on the appropriate immunisations and maximise your health protection.
Intrepid Journeys
Travellers of all ages like to visit remote locations, exploring and engaging in physical and risky ‘extreme activities’ - such as mountain climbing, bungee jumping, rafting, zip lining, caving, mountain biking, paragliding and rock climbing.
This fast growing travel trend is a popular way to see new places and test physical abilities. However, these activities also present with their own risks to ones health and safety.
Learning about these risks and preparing for your trip will make your holiday a fun and safe adventure.
What to expect
A travel appointment takes just forty minutes and will give you and your family invaluable advice for planning your trip, and staying safe while away. We have a wide range of immunisation in stock and can start the process immediately.
When organising your trip, it's worth remembering that buying your ticket is often the easiest part of your trip.
Insurance, travel vaccination and medicine are an important part of any journey and require planning.

Lucy Batchelor
Practice Nurse
I first started Practice Nursing in 1992 while living in Milton, South Otago for five years. When we moved to the Greta Valley in 1997 I took some time off nursing to raise our four young children. After completing a Return to Nursing course and then worked at the CACI Clinic in Christchurch for three years becoming an Advanced Appearance Medicine Nurse, working with Botox and Dermal Fillers and Laser Tattoo removal.
I was then lucky enough to begin working as a Casual Practice Nurse at Amberley which developed into a permanent role. I love all aspects of Primary Health Care; in particular Childhood Immunisations, Travel Vaccines and Women’s Health and Trauma Nursing.
